The Nigeria Universities has been closed for over 3 months now over the demands of the ASUU that is yet to be met.
Fortunately another meeting has been confirmed from the union's official twitter handle.
"MEETING UPDATE: The meeting between @ASUUNGR and the Minister of Labour is scheduled to hold on Monday Jan. 7th, at the Minister’s Conference Room by 3:30 pm prompt."
"This meeting is in furtherance of efforts made at resolving the on-going industrial action embarked upon by the union since November 5th, 2018 over certain demands based on the agreement reached with government in 2009."
"One of the demands is the replacement of Dr Wale Babalakin as the chairman for the government renegotiating team of the 2009 @ASUUNGR/ @AsoRock Agreement."
" Other issues are non payments of earned allowances, funding of revitalization of the Nigerian universities, implementation of needs assessment report, poor funding of state universities, among others...."
