The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB management has revealed that it has suspended nine out of the 700 Computer-Based Test centers in Nigeria for misconduct and will not partake in this year's jamb.
These centers were originally accredited and has started registrations for students taking part in the ongoing registration exercise, but due to alleged involvement in illegal activities, which includes charging candidates more than necessary fee and engaging in unauthorized use of registration Sim.
These centers include;
University of Benin ICT Computer Based Test (CBT) and DA Civic Centre, both in Benin City, Edo State;
Mardakem Company Ltd., Oron, Akwa Ibom State;
Bintels Global Services LTD, Aguleri, and Noble & Shuaib ICT Ltd, Alor, Anambra State, among others.
Other UTME registration centers suspended are situated in Plateau, Oyo, Benue, and Ondo.
Which include;
Global ICT Connect Ltd at the Benue State University, Makurdi;
Medes ICT Centre, Idepe, Okitipupa, Ondo State;
Divine Success All CBT Centre, Iseyin, Oyo State,
Riyom ICT Centre, Plateau State.
While speaking on these suspended centers, the JAMB Public Relations Officer, further disclosed that the organization is currently monitoring activities in about 10 centers of Lagos and Plateau states respectively, and the board management would meet on 28th of January to take appropriate action on these centers.
